Music Lessons & Dance Classes serving Ballard and Shoreline

Tired of running between your childrens' activities?

You can save valuable hours each month by scheduling Music or Dance classes for different children at the same time. At the Ballard & Shoreline Academies all of our students are taught by university trained instructors with a wide variety of teaching and performing experience, and we always have a front desk person to answer your questions during academy hours.

Are you looking for a clean and safe learning environment with university trained instructors?

Then the Ballard & Shoreline Academies are for you! Our beautifully designed facilities include professional floating dance floors and sound dampened music rooms with windows in every door. Our students have peace of mind knowing all of our instructors are university trained, great with children and have undergone criminal background checks. These are just a few of the reasons that more families are choosing the Ballard & Shoreline Academies for music lessons and dance classes.

Are you looking for dance classes?

Students can choose from a variety of dance classes including Ballet classes, Modern class and Contemporary classes, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop classes and pre-dance classes. Students of all ages can find a host of classes at Seattle's own Ballard & Shoreline Academies. Our professional floating dance floors rest on hundreds of foam blocks to absorb the shock and impact of regular dance movement. This benefits our students by reducing fatigue and preventing injury that can result from dancing on hard surfaces.

How about music lessons?

Students can start music lessons at any time at the Ballard & Shoreline Academies. We offer fun group classes for children 2.5 years of age to 6 years old, and we offer private lessons for anyone from around 5 years through adulthood. Our music program includes Piano lessons, Guitar lessons, Voice lessons, Violin lessons, Drum lessons, Saxaphone lessons, Trumpet lessons, and more! Our music studios have sound dampened walls and windows in every door. In addition, our Academy's professional environment is free from the distractions often found in home lessons or classes offered in the back of noisy music shops.

Please take a couple minutes to explore more of our website and won't be dissapointed!

We are committed to offering the best kid's, teen and adult dance classes and music lessons in the North Seattle area, taught by the best and most caring instructors around! We look forward to serving Seattle families in Ballard & Shoreline, as well as our neighboring communities of Greenlake, Wallingford, Queen Anne and Fremont, as well as the amazing cities of Edmonds, Lynnwood Mountlake Terrace, and Lake Forest Park!

“Studying piano at Ballard Academy of Music and Dance is important to me because it is special to me to make music. My teacher, Rob, is funny. He showed me fast songs that made me happy when I was sad. The Ballard Academy is cool. I also like seeing some of the kids I go to school with at the Academy.”
— Sarah H. Age 7 - Piano Student - Crown Hill, Seattle WA
“Studying dance at the Ballard Academy is important to me because I love ballet, ballet is a sport. It can help your body when your body is tired or out of shape. It has lots of stretches, and steps. Some are fun, some are slow and some are hard. I like to practice every day after school, and practice makes perfect. I feel happy and excited when I dance. I like all the nice teachers. They are so nice, that’s probably why you have so many kids. I also like the Ballard Dance Academy because there are so many classes that you can do!”
— Ella, Age 7  - Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop student - Ballard, Seattle WA

My 9yo son and I take joint guitar lessons from Clark since maybe 4/10.  Clark is an awesome teacher and we both like him a lot—-to the point where my son wants to emulate his playing style.  I have some prior experience with guitar but this is my son’s first time playing.  We’ve both made a lot of progress and love being able to play and practice together.  The Academy is run by professional staff and is a fun, clean, and lively place to learn.
